Leopard print for my eyes

I got some new frames so that I can see better. BAD news is my power on my left increased and my right decreased. At my age (going into the wrong side of my 20s and going up the age bracket in survey filling forms) you would think they would stop. Apprently my eyes are strained and really need to be exercised and relax them from too many screens.

Anyway.. it's a chance to get a new look and I was finally able to get some plastic frames that has a bit of a nose piece so that it actually sits on my nose. To top it of it has leopard print! And its by oroton and my health fund covered 98% (or something like that) of it and I was only out of pocket 24$! Hella yah for bargains!

so what do you think?  YAY OR NAY?

YSL Arty Ring

It started a few years ago, I didn't think much of it. In fact I thought it was alright bit over the top and something I probably wouldn't wear too often.

Then every year.. It teases me with it presence on a friend, on the web, on The blogs.

Finally.. I decided to try it on and went to Cultstatus on King street (No. 66 to be exact) to see the gold ring with black and gold through it. There was an array of colours, a decent collection for Perth.

I was only going to try it and then leave. If I loved it I was going to get it from SSense or Net-a-Poter. But alas, it called my name, it wrapped itself around me, three different colours ; moss green with rose gold, black with gold, and this creamy/pinky one.. all so beautiful! All fitting so snuggly around my fingers. It kept calling me as I looked around.

It worked its way into my mind, telling me that its the perfect statement jewellery. It showed me all the different outfits I can wear it with. It told me to get the moss green/emerald because it alluded class and elegance whilst still being a big statement piece, plus it told me I would probably wear it the most.

Damn! So I came out of Cultstatus with a YSL Arty Oval ring in green with gold through it an of course in rose gold ring. Good thing I worked overtime!

But now I promised myself no more self indulgence and to save; I plan to be in USA and Canada at the end of the year.

My bracelet from my lovely Aunty and Grandma (the green jade pearl style is from my grandmother).

So pretty when worn together :D

Crackle polish

I was playing around with my younger cousin's OPI nail polishes on Sunday night when I was over at her place. Although I own a crackle nail polish by OPI in silver I've never gotten around to using it. She had a rather blue/aqua/cyan crackle polish so I gave it a whirl.

I put on a coat of white OPI nail polish and placed the blue crackle polish on top. This is of course after putting your base coat on. Then finish it off with a top coat. The crackle effect obviously various and depending on how much you put on it may not crackle much at all.

Please excuse the photo taken with my phone.

I haven't done my cuticles in a long while, you can say good decent 9 months. So bare with my fingers. Furthermore this is my right hand so the nail polish is not nicely done as I had to paint with my left hand and I'm no left hander.

I'm not sure if I'm a fan. I don't know if it's the very contrast colour effect that makes me not like it or whether it's because I like perfectly manicured one coloured polishes. Granted as a teen I used to put two different colour polishes on one nail and place diamontes on my nails too. But alas those creative days are behind and I prefer streamlined neat and elegance.
Hmmm...perhaps if I put the silver crackle on black nail polish it'd turn out like lightning and that be pretty cool.

The verdict is still out as to whether I like crackle nail polish or not...

How about you? Yes or No?

vintage raybans = hearts

I love my parents a lot (equally). Except, sometimes, mummy produces such gems...

this uber cool VINTAGE RAYBANS -- she wore it when she was younger and it's been through a few countries...of course, the gold-nose piece is fading and i probably have to get the sunnies nose pads realigned but other than that it's pure perfection.

I'm in love.
