Two of my favourite items of clothing at the moment - my Bandage dress from Miss Lau in Melbourne - which I fear would not look very good with this winter weight I've gained - so I must track back to the gym...
and my Vintage dior blazer.
The outift ended up looking very corporate, minus the whole black and white assemble.
I guess it's about time I grow up anyway.
ps. can you see my little stomach bulging.. need to go back to the gym...! After I write this letter..to this university I'm going to the post-office and then running.

Dear God...
I know YOU've always been there giving me strength, guiding me. You've listened to my prayers, saw me weep in the middle of the night, complain how life can be so unfair, you've heard my worries, seen my successes, saw me smile, laugh, be merry.
Please God, although I don't talk to you as much as I used to, as much as I ought to, please guide me through this dark tunnel and let me see the path that I'm suppose to walk on. I feel as though I've been abandoned, but like the story of footprints in the sand I know that you are there, carrying me to where I need to be.
Please guide me through. Let me see a better tomorrow. Give me strength.
Amen.
love from someone-completely-utterly-lost.

it can only get better...
I can't sleep at the moment, there are stupid people outside my bedroom window making too much noise for the last 3 hours - talking.. like it's NOW 3am in the morning!! and it's a SUNDAY NIGHT?!! Inconsiderate new neighbours!!
Probably from the surbubs, completely forgetting that their neighbours, for a change is right next door and not buffered by a yard.
Okok, I wasn't suppose to whinge about that..
i wanted to show you what's making me seem all dreamy of late...
granted it was a bad photo, only because he couldn't stay still and hates photos and there was no flash..! but still...
i like it, even if it's a little blair witch-like .. i like it because it's not posed!
but this one is a little clearier..
it's all good there will be more photos in the future.. and things can only get better

Be-lated celebrations..
When you haven't got enough time to meet up and it's especially hard to get everyone together, the best place to eat is a place that's nice, casual, and serves great food with minimal waiting for food time, and one that can be shared by all. Of course, that led us to Hawkers, to celebrate Manuela's be-lated birthday! Hawkers hasn't let us down and still hasn't!
Granted, because we were a party of 7, we ended up getting a table upstairs, it was a little small, but it was ok - we still sat comfortably, just fitting all the plates of food was a problem. BUT boy was the food nice!! Part from being a place where it's for recovering drunkards, it has awesome dishes (you should try their sha cha duck and of course their famous marmite chicken!).
Like my previous post stated, do not be fooled by the dingy looking place, or the lack of english capabilities of some of the staff, this place still boost some of the best late night cruisines around and it always hits the spot! It's yummy, the service is quick, the meals come out quick, just getting a table may be hard. Expect to wait 15-30minutes (depending on the night).
But let me show you what you can expect..

Kai Lan - the vegetables are fresh but they cooked it in wayyy too much oil (like most chinese places in perth so completely ruined it)
Butter prawns - it's nice and yummy, but you can't really eat too much of it because they put too much sugar - next time i get this dish i'm asking them to remove the sugar component
ok.. like this is looking like a bad review.. but it does get better...
Mixed vegetables stir-fry - again like the kai lan - fresh, yummy but cooked in too much oil!
Marmite Chicken - YUMMIES -
i realise the camera shook and it's half eaten, but it's so good, i almost forgot the take the photo in the first place - i had to fight for my share!
Szechuan beef - OMG SO HOT! just the way it should be!! ^_^
Salt Pepper soft shell crab - YUMMMMM ^_^
Fuzhou Tofu - homemade tofu - it's soft, silky, milky texture - absolutely divine -
even tofu haters would love this!
VERY HAPPY DINERS!

raindrops on sweet lips
He runs out into the pouring rain whilst she calls after him, "you're going to get sick!!".
She takes out her umbrella, red in colour and runs after him.
She places it over his head , only to have him run off again.
She gives up, walks up to him with furrowed brows and looks of disapproval.
Him, on the other hand, so cheekily smiled and whispers to her "it's only rain.."
before his arm melted around her and kissed her the way only he can.
Raindrops surrounds them.
Sweet passion.
It was magical.

don't let me fall..
The warmth of his body presses next to her shivering body as he gives her a hug.
It feels so right to be in his arms.
Safe. Loved. Perfect.
But a part of her can't seem to shut out the screaming doubts.
"is he being sincere? is he genuinely a nice guy? is this all pretence?"
She doesn't want to fall too fast - lose her head and crush her heart...
again..
she can't handle the tears and losing the only seemingly perfect thing that's in her life right now..

what's on my ipod playlist..
Don't Let me Fall - Lenka
Underneath the moon
underneath the stars
here's a little heart for you..
Up above the world
Up above it all
Here's a hand to hold on to...
But if I should break
if I should fall away
What am I to do....?
I need someone to take
A little of the weight
Or I'll fall through...
You're just the one that I've been waiting for
I'll give you all that I have to give and more
But don't let me fall...
Take a little time
Walk a little line
get the balance right on
Give a little love
Gimme just enough
So that I can hang on tight
We will be alright
I'll be by your side
I won't let you down
But I gotta know
no matter how things go
That you will be around...
...You'll be the one that I'll love for ever more
I'll be here holding you high above it all
But don't let me fall...

Bowling Mondays
After a long Monday supervising third years laboratories, you want to go out, have a few beers, laugh, and moan about it all and of course it allows you to survive Mondays!
So what did I do? grabbed a few friends and went bowling.
It's all fun and games. Lots of laughs. A few strikes and lots of "oooo move that way".. and trying so hard not to get a gutter bowl.
After 2 games, we went to have bubble tea (free upgrade mondays! which means increasing your chances of diabetes!), then we went to do The Moon, had their awesome chips with aioli before calling it a night at midnight.

Supa Golf Saturday!
When you actually have a beautiful autumn day, the best way to celebrate is to go out and play Supa Golf, in Leeming, something you don't get to do often and just busk in the sun while the cool winter breeze swirls around you.
Before you do that, you visit Little Creatures - the perfect chilled out pub, have a pizza with your best girlfriend, maybe some corn cobs while drinking beer and pipsqueak cider, all brewed at Little Creatures.
I love the place, it's so perfectly relaxing. The only thing that was a little shocking was being asked for my id. Did I really look like a high schooler trying to get a drink? I guess that's just their job and I should feel flattered that I don't look that old yet.
Golfing wise, all I can say is that I don't have enough "hitting" power to drive a ball, I completely am hopeless at playing golf, but it was hilarious, especially when C hit into a huge tree, and M's friend Ian hit it over the fence and into the bushes as well as getting stuck near trees.
What better way to spend a Saturday then out in the sun having fun, laughing and giving each other grief for being pathetic golfers.
Life's good like that.

everything is coming up roses... finally
Finally there is some luck.
There is someone who gives me great hugs, keeps me warm and makes me smile.
I'm also going to Sydney with my best girlfriend.
My friends are absolute gems and I love them to bits.
and finally...
I've yet to find a stable job, but I'm applying again to medical schools. I'm not too fussed if I don't get in this year, but I think I'm finally figuring out what I want.
I could always work on being the best I can be in my current field. I've learnt to accept and be appreciative with where I am and that I want to be the best, because I've always strived for my best and I don't see why I should all of the sudden stop that. After all I figure out why I haven't been happy with my job because I'm not at my best, I'm going about it half-heartedly, and I decided, it's not so bad, and I am good at it, I'm going to work at being my best like I was before, that way, maybe I'll have the confidence to find that stable job.

how to get over HUMP DAY..
Wednesday, it's Hump day. Half way through the week, yet not close enough to see the weekend yet. So how do you survive the hump day blues? Easy... grab friends... and have fun!!
This is how we survived our middle of the week! (which is actually our day off... and sort of my weekend..)
Start the day with brunch anywhere really... we chose West End Deli, because last time we were here it was rather nice... Unfortunately, this time around it was VERY disappointing.. although it was filling, the food very very average, in fact my poached egg seemed to have gone cold by the time it came to me. My mocha was too milky, couldn't taste the chocolate. S's steak and mushroom pie was nice and hot, but it seemed a little dry, which she said it was, it needed more gravy/sauce. To top it off, the bill was ridiculous, over-rated. Might be a while before I come back, if I come back, I'm sure there are nicer places.
After brunch, got some bubbletea, before heading to BHS to see some old work friends, sat with them at their lunch half hour, before heading to Whaleback golf course - because they had a driving range, and I've never played/held a golf club before. It was surprisingly fun and I'm sure was rather entertaining to watch me attempt to swing - which I can't, because I can't seem to be able to bring the club above my hips, due to years of playing hockey! All I can say is it was so much fun!
Because the day was still young, well, 4pm, and the sun was shining in the middle of autumn, we decided to make the most of our off day and go to places we haven't been to in ages, and that happened to be King's Park (and they changed the entrance!! more pedestrian friendly!) - more specifically to the Synergy Park and attempted to run from the Synergy Park to the DNA tower in my oxfords (BAD IDEA!), but we didn't make it very far, we weren't wearing appropriate footwear!
We watched the sunset on the DNA tower before heading into the city for drinks, dinner and karaoke madness... where C took his top off... there was lots of love... PARTY in the USA.. and rocking out to guns and roses and bon jovi...
OUR wednesday finished at 11:45pm.. and I would have to say we successfully managed to survive the uphill battle to the middle of the week and ended it on a note which privy to a good ride towards the weekend!
ps. this was last week, yesterday my hump day wasn't as exciting. I blame that solely on having to recover from a busy weekend and from work.
