Be-lated celebrations..

When you haven't got enough time to meet up and it's especially hard to get everyone together, the best place to eat is a place that's nice, casual, and serves great food with minimal waiting for food time, and one that can be shared by all. Of course, that led us to Hawkers, to celebrate Manuela's be-lated birthday! Hawkers hasn't let us down and still hasn't!

Granted, because we were a party of 7, we ended up getting a table upstairs, it was a little small, but it  was ok - we still sat comfortably, just fitting all the plates of food was a problem. BUT boy was the food nice!! Part from being a place where it's for recovering drunkards, it has awesome dishes (you should try their sha cha duck and of course their famous marmite chicken!).

Like my previous post stated, do not be fooled by the dingy looking place, or the lack of english capabilities of some of the staff, this place still boost some of the best late night cruisines around and it always hits the spot! It's yummy, the service is quick, the meals come out quick, just getting a table may be hard. Expect to wait 15-30minutes (depending on the night).

But let me show you what you can expect..

Kai Lan - the vegetables are fresh but they cooked it in wayyy too much oil (like most chinese places in perth so completely ruined it)

Butter prawns - it's nice and yummy, but you can't really eat too much of it because they put too much sugar - next time i get this dish i'm asking them to remove the sugar component

ok.. like this is looking like a bad review.. but it does get better...
Mixed vegetables stir-fry - again like the kai lan - fresh, yummy but cooked in too much oil!

Marmite Chicken - YUMMIES -
i realise the camera shook and it's half eaten, but it's so good, i almost forgot the take the photo in the first place - i had to fight for my share!

Szechuan beef - OMG SO HOT! just the way it should be!! ^_^

Salt Pepper soft shell crab - YUMMMMM ^_^

Fuzhou Tofu - homemade tofu - it's soft, silky, milky texture - absolutely divine -
even tofu haters would love this!
VERY HAPPY DINERS!

We were there last night too, everyone loved it! We had a party of 9 making lots of noise downstairs!
