Christmas season is taking its toll on me.
The parties..
Christmas party every second day/every weekend...
The food... way too much food...
The realisation that I need more dresses/skirts/pretty blouses in my wardrobe.
And of course..
It's taking a toll on my gym sessions. I have NOT been able to go at least TWICE a week. I have only been going once a week, it's horrible.
I WILL be making time to go THREE TIMES A WEEK this week, in hopes of making up for the last few weeks of craziness.
And the craziness is probably not going to be stopping anytime soon..
I'm missing writing on this, but I doubt I'll have time.
So excuse the season hiatus.

busy busy busy
I'm having a full-on weekend and I'm totally exhausted. T_T
I have an engagement party for a good friend of mine on Saturday, going to the Perth Royal Show straight after that, then have a b'day party for another friend.
Then Sunday I have a wedding to attend.
So much for resting up on the weekends. *SIGH*
I'm so exhausted at the moment but I do love a packed weekend and seeing/catching up with everyone.

strapped for cash..
Rather depressed that my shopoholic ways and lack of self control and inability to save have left me to clear out my wardrobe yet again and get rid of any unwanted items - i'm cut truth be told. I have UNWORN REVIEW dresses to put up for sale on ebay, as well as a collection of some of my favourite jewellery - which suffice to say have never been worn. At the moment I have a pair of pumps which I bought from Melbourne early this year and unfortunately, due to my lack of control, despite not fitting into them, my delusional self figured my feet would grow - which it didn't - so alas after wearing them twice I have to part. I bought them for $199.00... and I'm starting my bid at $19.99... AIIYAHH.. all for clearing my bedroom. If you like them, do bid on them! They are brand new and so damn sexy. It's breaking my heart to sell it. But I must learn to part with things that I have not worn - it will got to better homes that would love them and cherish them as much as I do... and OMG perhaps even wear them!

excitements
I'm so excited about my trip to Melbourne it's not funny. I've been there a few years ago to go shopping, but this trip, this time, it's different. I feel as though I deserve this. I need this. I haven't felt this excited or this happy and ecstatic in ages. It's undescribable. I realised that I must have been so complacent and so blahsay about my life, hence all those quarter life crisis moments.
I now have something to look forward to. This Melbourne trip is more than just a shopping trip. I'm going with one of my best girlfriends and as soon as we arrive we have a concert booked in, we seeing The Lost Prophet.
We've also booked a date with Frank Woodley and Will Anderson (whom, for some strange reason I always think is Lano - I don't know why, I mean they look NOTHING alike and Will Anderson is 100x cuter!!! and I've seen both of these guys live and I still get confused!!).
We've also decided that we should go to Victoria's countryside as well, as to the specific location - no idea - but this is all depending on the weather, which, unlike Perth, is not guaranteed to be sunny (it'd be the opposite).
I'm also excited about the food aspects of Melbourne too! I didn't get to do a lot of culinary exploring last time I was in Melbourne so this time my aim is to try as many places as possible without blowing my whole budget! Having said that though, S, V and I are apprently having degustation at Vue De Monde - it's French - so should be fabulous - which also means that I have to find a nice dress/outfit in Melbourne somewhere.
So yes, I'm very excited and can't wait until my break!

making the most of my 1.5 day weekend...
As soon as the clock strikes 5pm on Friday - I consider it a weekend. And boy was I busy.
I headed back home, took a quick shower, walked out the door to pick up my two cousins who just finished work to head to Leederville for some of the Little Caesar's Pizzeria - because you know they the award winning pizzas and stuffs. I must say, it was a lot better than the time I had to hike up the hill - maybe because this time i didn't have to so it tasted better? HA. I tell you more about that later - I'm actually suppose to be in bed now, because I have a 12 hour work shift and the start of the working week - yes on a SUNDAY. FML. Doing 50 hour week for what?? OMG I'm turning into one of them! HAH.
Anyway, after that, went back to T's to go through her music collection and her clothes and looking at my inspirations for her to get some inspirations so we can go and get her a new wardrobe filled with prettified beautiful heirlooms.
Saturday consisted of Mandarin 2002 class - wo she huan laoshi (I like teacher) - she is a better teacher than the last one I had this one can teach. After 3 hours of "I'm chinese and I don't know chinese therefore I'm learning chinese" I had yum cha with Livvy and her friends (all doing chinese too) at Joy Gardens. Wasn't bad, but wasn't brilliant, but I did like their yam cakes (or was it radish cakes??) and can't go wrong with soft shell crabs!
Got back home, relaxed for what seemed like 10 mins (but really it was 1.5 hours) then had to go tutorial. Come back rest for 1 hour before its Church. Come back. Shower. Then off to Cantina and San Churros.
God GOOD chocolate and gnocchi just makes life seems so much more bareable.
With that I leave you. I have 4 minutes until Sunday. 8 hours until a 12 hour shift starts. Please come and see me at Claremont. I love you muchly and forever. There are babycakes - they have the best cupcakes! =D

the lady in the suit jacket..
It's hard when you are 21 years old tip-toeing on 22 working in a professional setting, having to grow up so much so quickly. Maturing is something that happens quickly. There are things that occur that make you cynical of the world, lose hope in the goodness of humanity and then you realise that people can really be THAT evil.
You learn the importance of good management, leadership and learn to cope with all the bitches/whores/pricks/idiots/stupids of the work place. You learn and try so hard to stay above the work politics (within all departments) but somehow or other you get sucked it.
I'm glad in a way that I'm learning to deal with all the crap that work throws at me, because I'm learning and I'm learning fast and I'm hardening up and trying to grow a thick skin - only problem is I have to be careful not to lose any bits of my soul to that world.
I feel as though I'm going through a quarter life crisis despite the fact that I have a few more years to go. I guess this is what happens when you have to fill shoes that were meant to sit in your wardrobe for a few years until they become "new vintage" and you grow into it. Alas, with that I hope I survive the remaining weeks to come.
I just have to keep telling myself that at the end of the day, what matters is that you TRY and DO rise above all that and you do so by doing your job and do it WELL and within all that you do it with poise, elegance, sophistication and most importantly with style and grace. Because evidently, those that try to bring you down haven't got any of that.
